Nifty Mar futures trade at discount

The Nifty March 2022 futures were at 17,215, a discount of 7.75 points as compared with the Nifty`s closing of 17,222.75 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange`s futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 190.35 lakh crore compared with Rs 104.01 lakh crore reported in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 22.90 points or 0.13% to settle at 17,222.75.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 3.30% to 23.93.

Kotak Mahindra Bank, Reliance Industries and Zee Entertainment Enterprises were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The March 2022 F&O contracts expire on 31 March 2022.
