NIFTY DECEMBER 2021 FUTURES TRADE AT PREMIUM

The Nifty December 2021 futures was at 17,352.60, a premium of 27.70 points as compared with the Nifty`s closing of 17,324.90 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange`s futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 62.72 lakh crore compared with Rs 57.74 lakh crore reported in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 43.35 points or 0.25% to settle at 17,324.90.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 2.30% at 16.9525.

Kotak Mahindra Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL) and Lupin were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The December 2021 F&O contracts expires on 30 December 2021.
