Paper & Paper Products company Tamil Nadu Newsprint And Papers announced Q4FY26 & FY26 results

Q4FY26 Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations: Reported at Rs 1,271.54 crore, showing an increase of 13.42% QoQ from Rs 1,121.10 crore and a decrease of 4.88% YoY from Rs 1,336.77 crore.
  • Total Income: Stood at Rs 1,291.77 crore, representing a growth of 12.71% QoQ compared to Rs 1,146.06 crore and a decline of 7.32% YoY compared to Rs 1,393.79 crore.
  • Net Profit After Tax: Reported a significant increase to Rs 240.30 crore, up 3,449.48% QoQ from Rs 6.77 crore and up 986.35% YoY from Rs 22.12 crore (largely driven by a reversal of deferred tax liability).
  • Earnings Per Share (EPS): Basic and diluted EPS stood at Rs 34.72, up 3,442.86% QoQ from Rs 0.98 and up 985.00% YoY from Rs 3.20.

FY26 Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations: Rs 4,644.89 crore for the full year FY26, a growth of 3.43% YoY from Rs 4,490.91 crore in FY25.
  • Total Income: Stood at Rs 4,720.77 crore, up 2.89% YoY from Rs 4,588.31 crore.
  • Net Profit After Tax: Reported a massive surge to Rs 247.75 crore, an increase of 6,542.09% YoY compared to Rs 3.73 crore in the previous year.
  • Earnings Per Share (EPS): Reported at Rs 35.80 for the year, up 6,529.63% YoY from Rs 0.54.
  • Dividend: The Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 4.00 per equity share (40%) of the face value of Rs 10 each.
  • Net Cash Flow from Operating Activities: Stood at Rs 595.51 crore, an increase of 4.51% YoY compared to Rs 569.80 crore.

Business Highlights:

  • Production Turnaround: The Board Unit achieved a significant turnaround in profitability during the year ended March 31, 2026.
  • Record Production and Sales: The company achieved its highest-ever production and sale of paper and board since inception.
    • Paper production for FY26 reached 4,34,294 MT (vs 4,25,166 MT in FY25).
    • Board production for FY26 reached 2,00,075 MT (vs 1,89,406 MT in FY25).
    • Paper sales for FY26 reached 4,47,844 MT (vs 4,32,055 MT in FY25).
    • Board sales for FY26 reached 1,98,849 MT (vs 1,83,515 MT in FY25).
  • Tax Regime Transition: The company opted for the new domestic tax regime under the Finance Act, 2026, resulting in an effective tax rate of 25.168% and a reversal of deferred tax liability amounting to Rs 219.43 crore.
  • Amalgamation: Four wholly-owned Indian subsidiaries (ICL Securities Ltd, ICL Financial Services Ltd, ICL International Ltd, and India Cements Infrastructures Ltd) were merged with the company effective from March 28, 2026.

  • The company earned Profit before Interest, Depreciation, and Tax (EBITDA) of Rs 7,324.84 crore for Q1FY24 as against Rs 3,176.39 crore in Q1FY23. The EBITDA has increased by 84.16% as compared to Q1FY23.
  • After providing Rs 69.66 crore towards depreciation & amortization and Rs 55.94 crore for finance cost, the company earned a profit before tax of Rs 200.24 crore for Q1FY24 as against Rs 92.97 crore in Q1FY23.

    • After providing Rs 263.60 crore towards depreciation & amortization and Rs 181.66 crore for finance cost, the company earned a Profit before tax of Rs 602.76 crore as against a profit before tax of Rs 22.02 crore in FY22.
    • Profit after tax is Rs 387.87 crore as against a profit after tax of Rs 14.32 crore in FY22

  • The total revenue has increased by 16% as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
  • The company earned Profit before Interest, Depreciation and Tax (EBITDA) of Rs 300.76 crore for the quarter ended Q3FY23 as against Rs 98.10 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
  • The EBITDA has increased by 207% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. After providing Rs 71.04 crore towards depreciation & amortization and Rs 55.60 crore for finance cost, the company earned profit before tax of Rs 174.12 crore for Q3FY23 as against Rs 1.74 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
  • Profit after tax for the Q3FY23 is Rs 112.90 crore as against Rs 0.91 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

  • Q2FY23:
    • The company reported a total revenue of Rs 1388 crore for the quarter that ended on September 30, 2022, as against Rs 942 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The total revenue has increased by 47% as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year and reported 22% increase as compared to the preceding quarter Q1FY23.
    • The company earned profit before interest, depreciation and tax (EBITDA) of Rs 283 crore for the quarter that ended on September 30, 2022. The EBITDA increased by 169% as compared to Q2FY22 and reported 60% increase as compared to Q1FY23.
    • After providing Rs 66.52 crore towards depreciation & amortisation and Rs 43.72 crore for finance costs, the company earned profit before tax of Rs 172.81 crore for the quarter that ended September 30, 2022, as against a profit of Rs 7.48 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, which is higher by 2210%.
    • Profit after tax is Rs 111.75 crore as against a profit of Rs 4.74 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year which is higher by 2258% and higher by 85% as compared to the preceding quarter Q1FY23.
  • H1FY23:
    • The company earned profit before interest, depreciation and tax (EBITDA) of Rs 459 crore during the half-year that ended on September 30, 2022, as against Rs 180 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year.
    • The EBITDA increased by 151% as compared to the H1FY22. After providing Rs 123.13 crore towards depreciation & amortisation and Rs 70.53 crore for finance costs, the company earned a profit before tax of Rs 265.78 crore as against a loss of Rs 13.36 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
    • Profit after tax is Rs 172.15 crore as against a loss of Rs 9.03 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
