    Intraday Trading

What would be the brokerage charged if I buy and sell shares on the same day in equity delivery?

Transactions undertaken under delivery, which are squared off before the end of the day, resulting in a zero net position, brokerage will be charged as per Intraday rates instead of Delivery rates, resulting in cost savings on brokerage charges. This is applicable only for iVALUE customers.

For transactions that are partially squared off where the net position at end of day is not zero, brokerage will be applicable as per the existing brokerage plan.

Let us understand brokerage charges applicable under iVALUE plan.

Scenario 1: iVALUE customers: Same-Day Square-Off (Full Quantity): Delivery

Mr. A buys 100 shares in delivery of XYZ Ltd and sells all 100 shares on the same day and has subscribed to iVALUE plan.

Brokerage: Intraday brokerage rates apply on all legs.

Scrip Name Trade Trade Value Current Brokerage* 0.07% iVALUE Brokerage* ₹20/order
    ABC Ltd Buy 1,00,000 70 20
    ABC Ltd Sell 1,02,000 0 20
    Brokerage Cost 70 40

    *Brokerage considered as per Prime 9999 plan + iVALUE (Delivery @ 0.07 % and Intraday @ Rs20/order)

Scenario 2: iVALUE customers: Same-Day Square-Off (Full Quantity) in multiple orders

If share bought in a single order and sold through multiple sell orders, brokerage is charged separately on each sell order

Scrip Name Trade Trade Value Current Brokerage* 0.07% iVALUE Brokerage* ₹20/order
    ABC Ltd Buy 1,00,000 70 20
    ABC Ltd Sell 50,000 0 20
    ABC Ltd Sell 52,000 0 20
    Brokerage Cost 70 60

*Brokerage considered as per Prime 9999 plan + iVALUE (Delivery @ 0.07 % and Intraday @ Rs20/per order)

Scenario 3: iVALUE customer: Same-Day Square-Off (Partial Quantity)

Mr. A buys 100 shares in delivery of XYZ Ltd  and sells 50 shares on the same day.

Brokerage: Delivery brokerage rate applicable on first leg as per existing process.

Scrip Name Trade Trade Value Current Brokerage* 0.07%
    ABC Ltd Buy 1,00,000 70
    ABC Ltd Sell 50,000 0
    Brokerage Cost 70

*Brokerage considered as per iVALUE enabled and Prime 9999 plan (Delivery @ 0.07 % and Intraday @ 0.007 %)

As the net quantity is not zero on the same day under the same underlying, brokerage is charged as per the existing framework.

If I sold shares in BTST segment and bought back entire quantity same day, what would be Brokerage charges?
