Gold stays under stress, hovers around $1720 mark

COMEX Gold futures are hovering around seven week low amid firm US dollar and lack of buying support. The US dollar index is holding above 110 mark. The metal currently trades down marginally at $1721 per ounce. The overall trend in Gold is likely to be choppy given the solid slide in European equities.
