Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 1.11%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 1.11% at 3768.55 today. The index has slipped 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Punjab & Sind Bank dropped 4.59%, UCO Bank shed 2.68% and Bank of Maharashtra slipped 2.04%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has soared 33.00% over last one year compared to the 3.29% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Bank index has dropped 1.05% and Nifty Financial Services index has dropped 0.98% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.56% to close at 17844.6 while the SENSEX has slid 0.51% to close at 60691.54 today.
