Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 1.21%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 1.21% at 4035.3 today. The index is up 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of Maharashtra slipped 6.59%, Punjab & Sind Bank dropped 2.29% and Bank of India shed 2.02%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is up 57.00% over last one year compared to the 12.65% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index is down 0.92% and Nifty Media index is down 0.83% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.38% to close at 18563.4 while the SENSEX is down 0.35% to close at 62625.63 today.
