Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index gains 1.64%

Nifty Pharma index closed up 1.64% at 12607.35 today. The index has gained 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Lupin Ltd added 6.14%, Biocon Ltd rose 3.64% and Divis Laboratories Ltd jumped 3.41%. The Nifty Pharma index has fallen 8.00% over last one year compared to the 2.83% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index gained 1.04% and Nifty PSU Bank index gained 0.76% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.26% to close at 17660.15 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.31% to close at 59727.01 today.
