Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index falls 1.84%

Nifty Metal index closed down 1.84% at 5690.9 today. The index has slipped 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Jindal Stainless Ltd dropped 6.13%, Hindalco Industries Ltd fell 3.83% and Hindustan Copper Ltd slipped 2.85%. The Nifty Metal index has soared 5.00% over last one year compared to the 15.86% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has dropped 1.30% and Nifty Energy index has slid 1.14% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.10% to close at 18314.8 while the SENSEX increased 0.20% to close at 62027.9 today.
