QUICK WRAP: NIFTY METAL INDEX DECLINES 0.91%

Nifty Metal index ended down 0.91% at 5936.55 today. The index is up 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Vedanta Ltd slipped 4.91%, Jindal Stainless Ltd shed 2.83% and National Aluminium Company Ltd dropped 2.15%. The Nifty Metal index is up 13.00% over last one year compared to the 11.84% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index added 0.68% and Nifty FMCG index added 0.59% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.19% to close at 18633.85 while the SENSEX added 0.20% to close at 62969.13 today.
