Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index rises 1.18%

Nifty Media index closed up 1.18% at 2465.75 today. The index is up 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd added 5.65%, Nazara Technologies Ltd jumped 2.67% and Dish TV India Ltd rose 2.64%. The Nifty Media index is up 18.00% over last one year compared to the 17.24% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index is down 0.96% and Nifty Pharma index increased 0.94% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.18% to close at 21418.65 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.24% to close at 71315.09 today.
