Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index registers a drop of 2.09%

Nifty Media index closed down 2.09% at 1676.85 today. The index has lost 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, PVR Inox Ltd dropped 4.78%, Dish TV India Ltd slipped 3.17% and TV18 Broadcast Ltd fell 1.85%. The Nifty Media index has decreased 17.00% over last one year compared to the 11.82% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has slid 1.33% and Nifty IT index is down 0.97% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.57% to close at 18181.75 while the SENSEX has slid 0.60% to close at 61560.64 today.
