Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index registers a drop of 1.66%

Nifty Media index closed down 1.66% at 2153 today. The index has lost 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, TV18 Broadcast Ltd fell 4.91%, D B Corp Ltd shed 4.46% and Saregama India Ltd dropped 4.09%. The Nifty Media index has increased 5.00% over last one year compared to the 8.30% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Services Sector index has slid 1.08% and Nifty IT index is down 1.03% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.83% to close at 19122.15 while the SENSEX has declined 0.81% to close at 64049.06 today.
