Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index registers a drop of 1.38%

Nifty Media index closed down 1.38% at 1712.6 today. The index has lost 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd fell 4.83%, PVR Inox Ltd dropped 2.04% and Navneet Education Ltd jumped 1.77%. The Nifty Media index has decreased 12.00% over last one year compared to the 15.43% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index has slid 0.93% and Nifty Financial Services index has dropped 0.74% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.61% to close at 18286.5 while the SENSEX has declined 0.66% to close at 61932.47 today.
