Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index rises 1.47%

Nifty IT index closed up 1.47% at 28303.65 today. The index is up 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Persistent Systems Ltd gained 2.95%, Mphasis Ltd rose 2.38% and Tech Mahindra Ltd jumped 2.24%. The Nifty IT index is down 0.00% over last one year compared to the 15.14% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index is down 0.96% and Nifty Realty index added 0.87% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.41% to close at 18203.4 while the SENSEX added 0.48% to close at 61729.68 today.
