QUICK WRAP: NIFTY ENERGY INDEX GAINS 3.24%

Nifty Energy index ended up 3.24% at 31311.9 today. The index has gained 16.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Green Energy Ltd rose 20.00%, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd gained 20.00% and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd jumped 4.42%. The Nifty Energy index has soared 16.00% over last one year compared to the 11.52% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index gained 3.07% and Nifty Commodities index increased 1.97% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.81% to close at 20855.1 while the SENSEX increased 0.63% to close at 69296.14 today.
