Non-Electrical Utilities company GAIL (India) announced Q1FY26 results

Standalone Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations of Rs 34,792 crore in Q1FY26 as against Rs 33,692 crore in Q1FY25.
  • Profit before Tax (PBT) in Q1FY26 stood at Rs 2,533 crore as against Rs 3,642 crore in Q1FY25.
  • Profit after Tax (PAT) in Q1FY26 stood at Rs 1,886 crore as against Rs 2,724 crore in Q1FY25.
  • Revenue from Operations stood at Rs 34,792 crore in Q1FY26 as against Rs 35,707 crore in Q4FY25.
  • PBT stood at Rs 2,533 crore in Q1FY26 as against Rs 2,701 crore during Q4FY25.
  • PAT stood at Rs 1,886 crore in Q1FY26 as against Rs 2,049 crore in Q4FY25.

Consolidated Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations stood at Rs 35,429 crore in Q1FY26 as against Rs 36,551 crore during Q4FY25.
  • PBT in Q1FY26 stood at Rs 3,029 crore as against Rs 3,240 crore in Q4FY25.
  • PAT (excluding Non-controlling interest) was Rs 2,369 crore in Q1FY26 as against Rs 2,492 crore in Q4FY25.

Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said that, the Company has incurred a Capex of ~ Rs 3,176 crore during the current quarter, mainly on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity contribution to JVs, etc.

Shri Gupta also informed that GAIL has got PNGRB’s authorization for capacity expansion of Jamnagar-Loni LPG pipeline from 3.25 MMTPA to 6.5 MMTPA involving an estimated capex of ~Rs 5,000 crore & is expected to be completed within 3 Years. This project will cut down on CO2 emissions significantly & reduce road mishaps and leaks.

Non-Electrical Utilities company GAIL (India) announced Q3FY25 results

Standalone Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations increased by 6% to Rs 34,958 crore in Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 32,931 crore in Q2FY25.
  • PBT registered an increase of 46% to Rs 5,029 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 3,453 crore in Q2FY25.
  • PAT increased by 45% to Rs 3,867 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 2,672 crore in Q2FY25.

Consolidated Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations on quarterly basis was up by 9% to Rs 36,937 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 33,981 crore in Q2FY25.
  • PBT registered a growth of 52% to Rs 5,272 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 3,470 crore in Q2FY25.
  • PAT (excluding Non-controlling interest) increased by 52% to Rs 4,082 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 2,694 crore in Q2FY25.
  • The Company has declared an interim dividend @ 65% for the financial year FY25 i.e. Rs 6.50 per share.

Business Highlights:

  • During the quarter, Average Natural Gas Transmission volume stood at 125.93 MMSCMD as against 130.63 MMSCMD in Q2 FY25.
  • Gas marketing volume stood at 103.46 MMSCMD as against 96.60 MMSCMD in Q2FY25.
  • LHC sales stood at 282 TMT as against 253 TMT & Polymer sales stood at 221 TMT as against 226 TMT in comparison to previous quarter.

Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL, said: that in Q3FY25, GAIL has accounted for an exceptional income of USD 285 million (Rs 2,440 crore) from SEFE Marketing & Trading Singapore Pte.Ltd as settlement towards withdrawal of arbitration proceedings.

Q2FY25 Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations was reported at Rs 32,931 crore in Q2FY25 as against Rs 33,692 crore in Q1FY25.
  • PBT stood at Rs 3,453 crore in Q2FY25 as against Rs 3,642 crore during Q1FY25.
  • PAT stood at Rs 2,672 crore in Q2FY25 as against Rs 2,724 crore in Q1FY25.
  • Petrochemical segment clocked PBT of Rs 157 crore as against loss of Rs 42 crore in Q1 FY’25.

H1FY25 Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations of Rs 66,622 crore for the period H1FY25 as compared to Rs 64,050 crore in H1FY24.
  • Profit before Tax (PBT) for H1FY25 stood at Rs 7,095 crore as compared to Rs 5,019 crore for the H1FY24.
  • Profit after Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 5,396 crore in H1FY25 as compared to Rs 3,817 crore in H1FY24.

  • Revenue from Operations of Rs 33,692 crore in Q1FY25 as against Rs 32,227 crore in Q1FY24. Profit before Tax (PBT) in Q1FY25 stood at Rs 3,642 crore as against Rs 1,889 crore in Q1FY24. Profit after Tax (PAT) in Q1FY25 stood at Rs 2,724 crore as against Rs 1,412 crore in Q1FY24.
  • Quarter on Quarter basis, Revenue from Operations was higher at Rs 33,692 crore in Q1FY25 as against Rs 32,335 crore in Q4 FY-24. PBT registered a robust growth of 28% to Rs 3,642 crore in Q1FY25 as against Rs 2,842 crore during Q4 FY-24.
  • PAT increased by 25% to Rs 2,724 crore in Q1FY25 as against Rs 2,177 crore in Q4FY24 mainly on account of increased Gas Transmission volumes, increased domestic Natural Gas Marketing volume and improved Natural Gas marketing margins.
  • On Consolidated basis, Revenue from Operations stood at Rs 34,822 crore in Q1FY25 as against Rs 32,833 crore during Q4FY24. PBT in Q1FY25 stood at Rs 4,114 crore as against Rs 3,099 crore in Q4FY24. PAT (excluding Non-controlling interest) was Rs 3,183 crore in Q1FY25 as against Rs 2,469 crore in Q4FY24.

Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said that, the Company has incurred a Capex of about Rs 1,659 crore during the current quarter, mainly on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity to JVs, etc. which is about 21% of annual target of Rs 8,044 crore.

He further stated that GAIL has advanced its Net Zero carbon target for scope-1 and scope-2 emissions to 2035 from earlier 2040.

Q4FY24 Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from Operations: Rs 32,335 crore (down from Rs 34,254 crore in Q3FY24)
  • Profit before Tax (PBT): Rs 2,842 crore (down from Rs 3,694 crore in Q3FY24)
  • Profit after Tax (PAT): Rs 2,177 crore (down from Rs 2,843 crore in Q3FY24)

  • Revenue from Operations: Rs 1,30,638 crore (down from Rs 1,44,302 crore in FY23)
  • Natural Gas transmission volume: 120.46 MMSCMD (up 12% from 107.28 MMSCMD in FY23)
  • Gas marketing volume: 98.45 MMSCMD (up from 94.91 MMSCMD in FY23)
  • LHC sales: 998 TMT (up 7% from 929 TMT in FY23)
  • Polymer sales: 787 TMT (up 97% from 399 TMT in FY23)
  • Consolidated Revenue from Operations: Rs 1,33,500 crore (down from Rs 1,45,875 crore in FY23)
  • Consolidated Profit before Tax (PBT): Rs 12,595 crore (up 74% from Rs 7,256 crore in FY23)
  • Consolidated Profit after Tax (PAT) (excluding Non-controlling interest): Rs 9,899 crore (up 76% from Rs 5,616 crore in FY23)

Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said that the robust performance during FY 2024 is primarily driven by better physical performance across all major segments, despite lower prices in Petrochemicals and Liquid Hydro-Carbons. He also stated that the Company has incurred a Capex of Rs 11,426 crore during the FY24.

He further stated that GAIL’s Board approved laying of C2/C3 liquid pipeline from Vijaipur to Auraiya having estimated Project Cost of Rs 1,792 Crores with commissioning period of 32 months. The project will augment feedstock availability with additional polymer production at Pata Petrochemical Complex, reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint.

Financial Performance:
- GAIL (India) reported Revenue from Operations of Rs 64,050 crore for Q2FY24, compared to Rs 76,063 crore in Q2FY23.
- Profit before Tax (PBT) for H1FY24 stood at Rs 5,019 crore, compared to Rs 5,770 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
- Profit after Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 3,817 crore, compared to Rs 4,452 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
- Quarter on Quarter basis, Revenue from Operations reported is Rs 31,823 crore in Q2FY24, compared to Rs 32,227 crore in Q1FY24.
- PBT registered a jump of 66% to Rs 3,130 crore in Q2FY24, compared to Rs 1,889 crore in the previous quarter.
- PAT followed the way with an increase of 70% to Rs 2,405 crore in Q2FY24, compared to Rs 1,412 crore in the previous quarter.

Operational Performance:
- Natural gas transmission volume stood at 120.31 MMSCMD in Q2FY24, compared to 116.33 MMSCMD in Q1FY24.
- Gas marketing volume stood at 96.96 MMSCMD in Q2FY24, compared to 98.84 MMSCMD in the previous quarter.
- LHC sales stood at 242 TMT in Q2FY24, compared to 247 TMT in the previous quarter.
- Polymer sales stood at 168 TMT in Q2FY24, compared to 162 TMT in the previous quarter.

Consolidated Performance:
- On a consolidated basis, Revenue from Operations stood at Rs 65,898 crore in H1FY24, compared to Rs 76,671 crore during H1FY23.
- PBT in H1FY24 stood at Rs 5,421 crore, compared to Rs 5,905 crore in H1FY23.
- PAT (excluding Non-controlling interest) was Rs 4,236 crore in H1FY24, compared to Rs 4,568 crore in H1FY23.
- The Consolidated Revenue from Operations on a quarterly basis stood at Rs 33,049 crore in Q2FY24, compared to Rs 32,849 crore in Q1FY24.
- PBT registered a growth of 37% to Rs 3,138 crore in Q2FY24, compared to Rs 2,283 crore in the previous quarter.
- PAT (excluding Non-controlling interest) increased by 36% to Rs 2,444 crore in Q2FY24, compared to Rs 1,792 crore in the previous quarter.

Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said, "During the quarter, the company has performed well, especially in the Gas Transmission segment, which will continue to perform better. He mentioned that the performance during the quarter was constrained due to lower realization in Polymers and LPG, but they are expected to improve going forward. He further stated that the company has incurred a Capex of around Rs 4,853 crore during the current half-year, mainly on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity to JVs, etc."

GAIL (India) announced Q3FY23 results:

  • Consolidated Q3FY23 & 9MFY23:
    • GAIL (India) Limited reported revenue from operations of Rs 1,11,443 crore for nine months ended  December 31, 2022, up 72% from Rs 64,678 crore in the corresponding period of FY22.
    • Profit before Tax (PBT) for nine months ended December 31, 2022 stood at Rs 5,993 crore as compared to Rs 10,044 crore during the corresponding period in previous year while Profit after Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 4,698 crore as compared to Rs 7,681 crore in the same period of the last fiscal.
    • On QoQ basis, revenue from operations was reported at Rs 35,380 crore in Q3FY23 as compared to Rs 38,491 crore in Q2FY23. PBT stood at Rs 223 crore while PAT was Rs 246 crore in Q3FY23 as against Rs 1,876 crore and Rs 1,537 crore respectively in the previous quarter.
    • Natural gas transmission volume stood at 103.74 MMSCMD in Q3FY23 as against 107.71 MMSCMD in Q2FY23. Gas marketing volume stood at 89.89 MMSCMD as against 92.54 MMSCMD in previous quarter.
    • LHC sales stood at 248 TMT as against 231 TMT & polymer sales stood at 65 TMT as against 108 TMT in comparison to previous quarter.
    • On YoY basis, revenue from operations stood at Rs 35,940 crore in Q3FY23 as against Rs 38,729 crore in Q2FY23. PBT in Q3FY23 stood at Rs 662 crore as against Rs 1,675 crore in Q2FY23. PAT was Rs 414 crore in Q3FY23 as against Rs 1,315 crore in Q2FY23 (excluding non-controlling interest).

Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said the company's Revenue from Operations has crossed Rs 1 Lakhs crore during nine months ended December 31, 2022, which is highest ever in any financial year. He further added that during the quarter, GAIL acquired 26% Equity stake in "GAIL Bhuwan" Ship, M/s LNG Japonica. Diversifying the Company's business with an entry into Speciality Chemical segment, GAIL Board has approved 50 KTA ISOPROPANOL Unit (IPA) at Usar where PDHPP Plant is already under construction. The Company has raised sum of Rs 1,575 crore by issuing redeemable non-convertible debentures at a highly competitive rate and incurred Capex of approx. Rs 6,278 crore during the nine months mainly on pipelines, petrochemicals, operational capex etc. which is 79% of annual target.

    • On a Consolidated basis, Revenue from operations increased by 2% to Rs 38,729 crore in Q2FY23 as against Rs 37,942 crore in Q1FY23.
    • PBT in Q2FY23 stood at Rs 1,675 crore as against Rs 4,230 crore in Q1FY23. PAT was Rs 1,315 crore in Q2FY23 as against Rs 3,253 crore in Q1FY23.

Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said the company has incurred a Capex of around Rs 3,970 crores during the current half year mainly on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity to JVs, etc. which is 53% of annual target. He further added that GAIL has been declared as successful Resolution Applicant by the Committee of Creditors for acquiring JBF Petrochemical Limited through Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process. With this the company will further expand its presence in southern part of country.

Utility company GAIL (India) announced Q1FY23 results:

  • Recorded 116% increase in Revenue from operations to Rs. 37,572 crore in Q1 FY23 as against Rs. 17,387 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous financial year.

  • On Quarter on Quarter basis, the Revenue from operations rose 39% to Rs. 37,942 crore in Q1 FY23 as against Rs. 27,328 crore in Q4 FY22, PBT stood at Rs. 4,230 crore as against Rs. 4,375 while PAT was Rs. 3,253 crore as against Rs. 3,454 crore.

Shri Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director, GAIL said the company has successfully registered a healthy growth in the overall performance despite turbulent times in the gas business. GAIL has incurred a capital expenditure of about Rs. 1,975 crore during the quarter mainly on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity to JVs, etc.

Utilities company GAIL (India) announced Q4FY22 results:

  • GAIL (India) Limited recorded 62% increase in Revenue from Operations to Rs. 91,646 crore in FY22 as against Rs. 56,738 crore in FY21
  • Profit before Tax (PBT) increased by 113% to Rs. 13,590 in FY22 crore as against Rs. 6,386 crore in FY21
  • The Profit after Tax (PAT) increased by 112% to Rs. 10,364 crore in FY22 as against Rs. 4,890 crore in FY21 mainly on account of increased gas marketing and transmission volume, better gas marketing spread and higher product prices.
  • Revenue from Operations for quarter ended on 31st March 22 increased by 73% to Rs. 26,968 crore as compared to Rs. 15,549 crore in corresponding period of previous year.
  • PBT registered a growth of 36% to Rs. 3,546 crore in Q4 FY22 as against Rs. 2,612 crore during Q4 FY21.
  • PAT increased by 41 % to Rs. 2,683 crore in Q4 FY22 as against Rs. 1,908 crore in Q4 FY21 mainly on account of improved gas marketing spread and better product prices.
  • On consolidated basis, GAIL Group achieved Annual Revenue from Operations, PBT & PAT of Rs. 92,874 crore, Rs. 15,464 crore & Rs. 12,256 crore in FY 22, up by 62%, 100% & 100% respectively against FY 21.
  • The quarterly Revenue from Operations, PBT & PAT achieved in Q4 FY22 is Rs. 27,328 crore, Rs. 4,375 crore & Rs. 3,454 crore, up by 73%, 36% & 39% respectively against Q4FY21.

Mr. Manoj Jain, CMD GAIL informed that this is the highest yearly financial results on all the three parameters ever reported by the company in its history. GAIL has incurred a Capex of Rs. 7,738 crore mainly on Pipelines, Petrochemicals, Equity to JVs, etc. GAIL's spending in CSR during the year is 3% against the mandate spend of 2%. GAIL has paid Dividend for Rs. 3,996 crore (@ Rs. 9/share), in addition GAIL Board has recommended Final Dividend @Rs.1/share subject to approval of Shareholders, which makes total Dividend for the FY 2021-22 to Rs.4,440 crore, which is highest ever by GAIL. Besides this, Buyback of Shares amounting to Rs. 1,083 crore has already been approved.
