Roads & Highways company Dilip Buildcon announced Q4FY25 results

  • Revenue from operations: Rs 3,096 crore compared to Rs 3,366 crore during Q4FY24, change -8.02%.
  • EBITDA: Rs 661 crore compared to Rs 330 crore during Q4FY24, change 100.03%.
  • EBITDA margin: 21.35% for Q4FY25.
  • PAT: Rs 276 crore compared to Rs 3 crore during Q4FY24, change 9100.00%.
  • PAT margin: 8.91% for Q4FY25.

Devendra Jain (MD & CEO) said: “Our EPC business is witnessing industry headwinds due to the muted ordering activity across the infrastructure vertical. At the same time, strong ramp-up in our coal business and maturing road HAM portfolio supported our earnings and cashflow, these are reflecting in our consolidated financials.

We are very much optimistic on securing decent quantum of order in the coming quarters. Post that, all of our three growth engines will be on accelerated mode.”

  • Revenue from operations: Rs 2,590 crore compared to Rs 2,877 crore during Q3FY24, change -9.98%.
  • EBITDA: Rs 477 crore compared to Rs 357 crore during Q3FY24, change 33.61%.
  • EBITDA margin: 18.42% for Q3FY25.
  • PAT: Rs 158 crore compared to Rs 113 crore during Q3FY24, change 39.82%.
  • PAT margin: 6.10% for Q3FY25.
  • EPS: Rs 10.78 for Q3FY25.

  • EBITDA: Rs 2,222 million compared to Rs 2,935 million during Q2FY24, change -24.29%.
  • EBITDA Margin: 10.21% for Q2FY25.
  • PAT: Rs 1,290 million compared to Rs 1,197 million during Q2FY24, change 7.77%.
  • PAT Margin: 5.93% for Q2FY25.
  • Basic EPS: Rs 8.82 for Q2FY25.
  • Diluted EPS: Rs 7.94 for Q2FY25.

Consolidated Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from operations: Rs 24,613 million compared to Rs 28,487 million during Q2FY24, change -13.60%.
  • EBITDA: Rs 4,996 million compared to Rs 3,406 million during Q2FY24, change 46.68%.
  • EBITDA Margin: 20.30% for Q2FY25.
  • PAT: Rs 2,658 million compared to Rs 732 million during Q2FY24, change 263.11%.
  • PAT Margin: 10.80% for Q2FY25.
  • Basic EPS: Rs 18.18 for Q2FY25.
  • Diluted EPS: Rs 16.38 for Q2FY25.

Devendra Jain (MD & CEO), said: “We are building DBL 2.0 with three buildings blocks i.e. Well-diversified core EPC business, Roads HAM portfolio and Coal MDO business. In the last quarter, despite headwinds in EPC business we have achieved the highest ever quarterly PAT of over Rs 250 crore on consolidated basis.

Q4FY24 Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from operations increased by 2.57% to Rs 29,308 million in Q4FY24
  • EBITDA excl. other income is increased by 29.56% to Rs 3,524 million in Q4FY24 against Rs 2,720 million in Q4FY23
  • PAT is increased by 112.18% to Rs 1,237 million in Q4FY24 against Rs 583 million in Q4 FY23

FY24 Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue from operations increased by 4.13% to Rs 1,05,373 million in FY24
  • EBITDA excl. other income is increased by 31.44% to Rs 12,992 million in FY24 against Rs 9,884 million in FY23
  • PAT is increased by 90.26% to Rs 4,220 million in FY24 against Rs 2,218 million in FY23

Standalone Q3FY24:

  • Revenue from Operations: For Q3FY24, revenue from operations increased by 8.08% to Rs 25,711 million compared to Rs 23,788 million in Q3FY23.
  • EBITDA excl. other income: EBITDA excluding other income rose by 27.55% to Rs 3,185 million in Q3FY24 from Rs 2,497 million in Q3FY23.
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): PAT for Q3FY24 grew by 19.87% to Rs 953 million against Rs 795 million in Q3FY23.
  • PAT Margin: Profit After Tax margin was up at 3.71% for Q3FY24 compared to 3.30% in Q3FY23.

Consolidated Q3FY24:

  • Total Income: Total income reached Rs 29,016 million in Q3FY24 compared to Rs 23,509 million in Q3FY23.
  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): PBT, including exceptional items, was Rs 1,730 million in Q3FY24 compared to Rs 1,651 million for Q3FY23.
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): PAT stood at Rs 1,129 million for Q3FY24, increasing from Rs 1,102 million in Q3FY23.

Divestment and Investments:

  • Shrem InvIT: Divested 18 HAM projects and 49% in 1 HAM project with a valuation of Rs 22,182 million from an invested amount of Rs 16,931.
  • Alpha Alternatives Investment: Alpha Alternatives and its associates invested Rs 1,331.20 million towards equity warrant subscriptions in DBL.

Key Project Updates:

  • Completed Projects: Completed 4 HAM and 1 EPC projects worth Rs 30,654 million in various states.
  • New Projects: Won 4 projects across different states worth Rs 26,413 million in the sectors of irrigation, water supply, and urban development.

Order Book:

  • Total Order Book: As of December 31, 2023, the total order book stands at Rs 2,18,429 million with roads and highways projects constituting 32.89%.

    • Completed Bundelkhand Expressway (Package-VI) EPC project worth Rs 13,621 million (EPC cost excl. GST) on 13.01.2023, on scheduled completion date including EOT (Extension of time), in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
    • Order book:
      • The net order book as on date stands at Rs 2,65,385 mn, 39.49% of the order book is constituted by roads and highways projects, special bridge projects contribute 3.11%, tunnel projects contribute 7.66%, irrigation projects contribute 14.33%, metro projects contribute 5.80%, water supply projects contribute 12.18% and mining contribute 17.43%.
