Q4FY25 Quarterly Result Announced for Bajaj Electricals Ltd.

Household Appliances company Bajaj Electricals announced Q4FY25 & FY25 results

Q4FY25 Financial Highlights:

  • The company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs 1,265 crore. as against Rs 1,188 crore., a good growth of 6.5% over the fourth quarter of the previous year
  • The company has significantly improved its profit before tax to Rs 71 crore. from Rs 24 crore. which is a jump of 191%.
  • The company generated positive Cash flow from Operations of Rs 87 crore. Cash equivalents and surplus investments are at Rs 509 crore.

FY25 Financial Highlights:

  • The company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs 4,828 crore for FY25 compared to Rs 4,641 for FY24
  • The company's PBT stood at Rs 169 crore for FY25 compared to 173 crore for FY24

He has joined us from Unilever, where he had extensive experience to scale and lead successfully, the consumer businesses in India, China, Brazil, Japan, North Africa, the Middle East, and Russia. Further, he has consistently driven profitable growth in highly competitive environments successfully turning around businesses across geographies, delivering strong business results in volatile market conditions, and strengthening talent and organizational capabilities. His global experience will be of immense value to Bajaj Electricals giver our vision of continuing to grow in India, while establishing a strong footprint globally. I am confident that with his experience, coupled with the strength of our people, brand and cultural values, we will continue to drive sustainable and profitable growth.

Now coming to the business, profit before tax for the quarter zoomed by 191% to Rs 71 crore., owing to good growth in revenues. Consumer Product revenues have grown at 8.4%, even in a delayed summer. The domestic appliances have done well. The EBIT margins have also improved significantly by around 210 bps (from 1.8% in Mar-24 to 3.9% PRESS RELEASE Annexure B in Mar-25 quarter), on a YoY basis, mainly due to improvement in gross margins. Lighting Solutions EBIT margins are at 7.8% and they continue to improve every quarter. We will continue our investments in our brand and products and other initiatives which will yield strong results going forward.

Lastly, we are encouraged with the performance of this quarter and are confident that with two consecutive rate cuts announced by RBI, and the inflation being contained below the target rate, it will help the demand to continue to improve.”

  • EBIT: Rs 32 crore compared to Rs 59 crore during Q2FY24, change -45.9%.
  • EBIT margin: 2.9% for Q2FY25.
  • PBT: Rs 15 crore compared to Rs 45 crore during Q2FY24, change -67.4%.
  • PAT: Rs 13 crore compared to Rs 32 crore during Q2FY24.
  • PAT margin: 1.2% for Q2FY25.

Household Appliances company Bajaj Electricals announced Q1FY25 results:

  • For Q1FY25, the Company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs 1,155 crore as against Rs 1,112 crore, a growth of 3.8% over the first quarter of the previous year.
  • For the quarter, the company has made profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 38 crore and Rs 28 crore respectively, as against profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 53 crore and Rs 38 crore respectively, in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
  • For the quarter, Consumer Products (CP) segment of the Company has earned total revenue of Rs 905 crore as against Rs 873 crore, a growth of 3.7% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. CP recorded an EBIT of Rs 23 crore as against Rs 41 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
  • For the quarter, Lighting Solutions (LS) segment of the Company has earned total revenue of Rs 250 crore as against Rs 240 crore, a growth of 4.3% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. LS recorded an EBIT of Rs 26 crore as against Rs 20 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
  • For the quarter ended June 30, 2024, the Company generated positive Cashflow from Operations of Rs 155 crore Cash equivalents and surplus investments are at Rs 442 crore.
  • The order book as on July 1, 2024, stands at Rs 210 crore for Professional Lighting Projects.

Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman of Bajaj Electricals, said “Revenues for the Company have grown at 3.8% with consumer demand having bottomed-out and green shoots visible in in rural demand. Lighting Solutions EBIT margins are at 10.5%, due to improvement in overall gross margins. We continue to maintain strong positive cash flows and focus on our long-term strategic objectives with a continued push on new products and brand strengthening. I am confident that with a pickup in demand during the second half of this fiscal, we shall see a strong upward performance.”

  • Revenue from operations: Rs 1,113 crore (Q2FY24) vs. Rs 1,159 crore (Q2FY23), a contraction of 4.0%.
  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): Rs 45 crore (Q2FY24) vs. Rs 79 crore (Q2FY23).
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): Rs 32 crore (Q2FY24) vs. Rs 58 crore (Q2FY23).
  • Consumer Products (CP) Segment:
    • Total Revenue: Rs 858 crore (Q2FY24) vs. Rs 883 crore (Q2FY23), a contraction of 2.9%.
    • EBIT: Rs 41 crore (Q2FY24) vs. Rs 62 crore (Q2FY23).
  • Lighting Solutions (LS) Segment:
    • Total Revenue: Rs 255 crore (Q2FY24) vs. Rs 276 crore (Q2FY23), a contraction of 7.4%.
    • EBIT: Rs 14 crore (Q2FY24) vs. Rs 26 crore (Q2FY23).
  • The EPC business has been demerged from the company, effective from September 1, 2023.
  • Overall, the company experienced a contraction in revenue and profitability in Q2FY24 compared to Q2FY23. The demerger of the EPC business may have impacted the financial results for this quarter.
  • For H1FY24 the company reported positive cash flow from operations amounting to Rs 92 crore.
  • Additionally, the company's cash equivalents and surplus investments totaled Rs 204 crore.

The EPC segment has been demerged from September 1, 2023 and has a positive outlook for the future.”

Household appliances company Bajaj Electricals announced Q1FY24 results:

  • Revenue from operations of Rs 1,112 crore as against Rs 1,129 crore, a de-growth of 1.5% over Q1FY23.
  • For Q1FY24, the company made a profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 53 crore and Rs 38 crore respectively, as against profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 58 crore and Rs 42 crore respectively in Q1FY23.
  • The order book as on July 1, 2023, stands at Rs 1,728 crore
  • For Q1FY24, the consumer products segment of the company earned total revenue of Rs 873 crore as against Rs 855 crore, a growth of 2% over Q1FY23.
  • For Q1FY24, the lighting solutions segment of the company has earned total revenue of Rs 240 crore as against Rs 274 crore, a de-growth of 12.5% over Q1FY23.
  • The scheme of demerger of the EPC Segment has been approved by the NCLT, Mumbai, and accordingly, the EPC segment has been shown as discontinued operations.

Household Appliances company Bajaj Electricals announced Q4FY23 & FY23 results:

  • For Q4FY23, the company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs 1,490 crore as against Rs 1,334 crore, a growth of 11.7% over Q4FY22
  • For Q4FY23, the company has made profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 79 crore and Rs 52 crore respectively, as against profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 52 crore and Rs 39 crore respectively, in Q4FY22
  • For FY23, the company generated positive Cashflow from Operations of Rs 450 crore Cash equivalents and surplus investments are at Rs 412 crore
  • The order book as on 1st April 2023 stands at Rs 1,761 crore, comprising Rs 1,026 crore for Transmission Line Towers, Rs 612 crore for Power Distribution, and Rs 123 crore for Illumination Projects.

Bajaj Electricals announced Q3FY23 results:

  • Q3FY23:
    • The company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs 1,484 crore. as against Rs 1,320 crore, a growth of 12% over the third quarter of the previous year.
    • In the quarter, the company made a profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 83 crore and Rs 61 crore respectively, as against profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 66 crore and Rs 48 crore respectively, in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
    • During the quarter, the Consumer Products (CP) segment of the company has earned total revenue of Rs 1,039 crore as against Rs 950 crore a growth of 9% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year
    • CP recorded an EBIT of Rs 78 crore as against Rs 91 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. CP operating margins are at 7.5%.
    • The Lighting Solutions (LS) segment of the company has earned total revenue of Rs 270 crore as against Rs 276 crore a de-growth of 2% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
    • LS recorded an EBIT of Rs 17 crore as against Rs 10 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. LS operating margins are at 6.4%.
    • The EPC segment has achieved total revenue of Rs 175 crore as against Rs 94 crore registering a growth of 87% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
    • EPC recorded a profit of Rs 1 crore as against a loss of Rs 9 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
  • 9MFY23:
    • The company generated positive cashflow from operations of Rs 375 crore cash equivalents and surplus investments are at Rs 380 crore.

Mr. Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman of Bajaj Electricals Limited, said “Consumer Products revenues have crossed Rs 1,000 crore for the quarter, which has helped achieve a PBT growth of 25.2%, in a tough market. EPC has delivered positive EBIT for the current quarter coupled with a strong focus on a collection of receivables.”

    • The company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs 1,226 crore as against Rs 1,302 crore, a de-growth of 6% over the second quarter of the previous year.
    • The company has made a profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs 84 crore and Rs 62 crore respectively, as against Rs 79 crore and Rs 63 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
    • The Consumer Products (CP) segment of the company has earned total revenue of Rs 883 crore as against Rs 905 crore, a de-growth of 2% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
    • The CP segment recorded an EBIT of Rs 62 crore as against Rs 91 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. CP Operating Margins are at 7%.
    • The Lighting Solutions (LT) segment has earned total revenue of Rs 276 crore as against Rs 286 crore, a de-growth of 4% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
    • The LT segment recorded an EBIT of Rs 26 crore as against Rs 18 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. LT Operating Margins are at 9%.
    • The EPC segment has achieved total revenue of Rs 67 crore as against Rs 111 crore, registering a degrowth of 39% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
    • EPC recorded a profit of Rs 6 crore as against a loss of Rs 19 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
  • H1FY23:
    • The company generated positive cashflow of Rs 178 crore from operations. Cash equivalents and surplus investments are at Rs 213 crore.
  • The order book as on October 1, 2022, stands at Rs 1,554 crore, comprising of Rs 1,343 crore for transmission line towers, Rs 11 crore for power distribution and Rs 200 crore for illumination projects.

Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman of Bajaj Electricals Ltd, said, “We have delivered a PBT growth of 6% inspite of revenue degrowth and absorption of high cost inventories. EPC has delivered positive EBIT for the current quarter, coupled with strong focus on collection of receivables.”

Bajaj Electricals announced Q1FY23 results:

  • For the first quarter of Q1FY23, the Company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs. 1,229 crore as against Rs. 857 crore, a growth of 43% over the first quarter of the previous year.
  • For the quarter, the company has made profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs. 57 crore and Rs. 41 crore respectively, as against loss before tax and loss after tax of Rs. 31 crore and Rs. 25 crore respectively, in the corresponding first quarter of the previous year.
  • The order book as on 1 st July, 2022 stands at Rs. 913 crore, comprising of Rs. 714 crore for Transmission Line Towers, Rs. 11 crore for Power Distribution, and Rs. 188 crore for Illumination Projects.

  • Q4FY22:
    • The Company has achieved revenue from operations of Rs. 1,334 crore as against Rs. 1,258 crore, a growth of 6% over the fourth quarter of the previous year.
    • The company has made profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs. 52 crore and Rs. 39 crore respectively, as against profit before tax and profit after tax of Rs. 72 crore and Rs. 54 crore respectively, in the corresponding fourth quarter of the previous year.
