    What type of ICICI Bank accounts can I link with my trading account?

    You can only link a Saving account to the ICICI Direct account. You will not be able to link current account or Overdraft (OD) account to ICICI Direct account.

    What is the offline process to add/change bank account?

    You need to mail a duly signed Bank Mandate form to the address mentioned below:

    What will happen to my existing ICICI Bank saving account after adding a new ICICI Bank savings account?

    Once you complete the online process to update a new ICICI Bank account, the previous account will get replaced / delinked.

    How to Add/ Change Bank account in my ICICI Direct account?

    You can easily add/ Change bank account online using following steps.

    1) Login to ICICIDirect.com website

    2) Go to Stocks >> Funds >> Allocate Funds 

    3) Select Manage Bank Account

    4) Select New Bank Account

    5) All ICICI Bank accounts will be fetched using your registered PAN number.

    6) Select the Bank account you wish to Add.

    7) Details of the selected Bank account will be displayed. Select the consent and click on confirm. The bank account you select will be linked to your Demat account, and all the future dividends will be credited to this account.

    8) The Customer needs to complete an eSign. Please note- If the new bank account has a joint holder, then ‘e-sign’ is mandatory for all the holders to complete the bank addition process

    9) Click on the consent box and enter your Aadhaar number on protean website. Enter the OTP that you receive on your Aadhaar linked mobile number.

    10) The process to Add/change your bank account is now complete. You will be notified via Email and Notification after successful change of bank account. Please note – If you are already in block (3-in-1) model, then your new bank account will be converted in block (3-in-1) model within 5 mins. If you were in deposit (2-in1) model, your new bank account will convert to block (3-in-1) model in T+1 day.

    How much time will it take to update my bank account in the ICICI Direct account?

    If you are already in block (3-in-1) model, then your new bank account will be converted in block (3-in-1) model within 5 mins.

    If you were in deposit (2-in-1) model, your new bank account will convert to block (3-in-1) model in T+1 day.

    Where can I see my linked bank accounts?

    Follow the steps given below to view all your linked bank accounts:

    1) Log in to ICICIDirect.com

    2) Go to Payments

    3) Go to Payment Methods

    4) You will see all linked bank accounts.

    Can I add multiple bank accounts in my trading account?

    No, you cannot add multiple ICICI Bank savings account to the ICICI Direct account. When you add a new ICICI Bank account, the previous ICICI Bank saving account will get replaced/delinked.

    However, your previously added non-ICICI Bank account will appear in your ICICI Direct account. But you will not be able to allocate funds from those accounts.

    Can I add non-ICICI bank account to my trading account?

    No, you cannot add non-ICICI Bank account to the ICICI Direct account. Only ICICI Bank saving accounts can be linked to exercise the benefits of our 3-in-1 account offering.

    I do not have ICICI Bank account. How can I proceed to add a bank account?

    You need to open a new ICICI Bank savings account and then add the bank account to your ICICI Direct account.

    Can I add/link a current bank account to my trading account?

    No, you cannot add / link a current account to your ICICI Direct account.

    Can an Overdraft (OD) bank account be linked to my trading account?

    No, you cannot link a Overdraft (OD) account to your ICICI Direct account.

    Can I add Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) bank account to my trading account?

    No. Since, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) bank account has monthly limits on Debit / Credit transactions, it cannot be added to your trading account.

    Can joint bank account be linked to my trading account?

    Yes, you can easily add a joint savings bank account to your ICICI Direct account. You just need to complete ‘e-Sign’ of all joint holders in order to update a bank account.

    The order of e-Sign is Joint holder 2 >> Joint holder 1 >> Primary holder.

    Do I need to add Bank account to Demat account as well?

    No, your newly linked ICICI Bank account will be updated to Demat account automatically and you will start receiving the dividends in same account.

    Can I link a relative’s bank account to my trading account?

    No, you will not be able to link a relative’s bank account to your trading account. In the online bank process of adding a bank account, you will see list of all ICICI Bank saving accounts linked with your PAN number. You can add bank account from this list only.

    Are there any charges of adding or changing the Bank account?

    No, there are no charges applicable for adding or changing the Bank account in your ICICI Direct.

    What is ICICI Direct 3-in-1 account?

    The 3-in-1 account is a unique ICICI Direct offering where your Trading account will be with ICICI Securities and your Demat and Bank account will be with ICICI Bank. You will be able to allocate money instantly from ICICI Bank to ICICI Direct for trading and investment. Your money will remain in the ICICI Bank account and you will keep earning interest on the unutilized funds in your trading account.

    What are the benefits of 3-in-1 account?

    The benefits of having an ICICI Direct 3-in-1 account are as follows:

    1) No Broker Pool- Your funds remain with you in your bank account, and not with the broker.

    2) Earn Interest on unutilized funds - With the 3-in-1 account, you earn additional interest on unutilized funds in your trading account.

    3) Demat Holdings secured with ICICI Bank - Your Demat holdings are secure with ICICI Bank, ensuring a safe user experience. It reduces your risk exposure, as the bank is the custodian of your holdings.

    What is a Bill-to-Bill settlement/ Deposit mode?

    A Bill-to-Bill settlement/ Deposit mode is basically a 3-in-1 account where your funds will be settled directly in your bank saving account. When you allocate the funds to trading account, the funds still remain in your savings bank account and you continue to earn interest on unutilized trading account funds.

    What is Running Account Authorization/Block settlement mode?

    In Running Account Authorization/Block settlement mode, your funds will be settled through your trading wallet either quarterly or monthly, based on your selections. You first need to allocate funds to your wallet and then allocate them to the segment in which you want to trade.

    My existing bank account is added in the Deposit model; how can I convert same Bank account to a Block model?

    You can convert your existing linked ICICI Bank saving account to a 3-in-1 setup. You need to follow the steps given below:

    1) Visit ICICIDirect.com

    2) Go to Payments

    3) Go to Payment Methods

    4) Click on New Bank Account

    5) All ICICI Bank account linked to your PAN will be displayed

    6) Select existing linked ICICI Bank saving account

    7) Accept consent and confirm

    8) You need to complete the e-Sign

    9) Once the e-Sign is complete, your account will get converted to a 3-in-1/ Block mode in one working day.

    Why am I unable to add or change my bank account?

    If you have any active items as mentioned below, your add/change bank account request will not be processed:

    1) Any active open positions

    2) If you have subscribed to special brokerage plan (other than Prime and iValue plan)

    3) Any pending dues or obligations

    I am not able to see my ICICI Bank Saving account in the list, what can I do?

    If you are unable see your ICICI Bank account you wish to add in online process, you need to follow an offline process to add/ change bank account. You need to mail a duly signed Bank Mandate form to the address mentioned below:

    Where will I receive the Dividend payouts?

    After changing the linked Bank account, you will start receiving the dividend payouts to the newly linked bank account.

    Can I add money to my trading account using UPI/ Credit card/ Debit card?

    No, you cannot add money to your trading account using UPI / Credit card / Debit card. You need to link the ICICI Bank savings bank account in order to allocate funds to your trading account.

    What will happen to my existing Stock SIPs after changing the bank account?

    Your existing Stock SIPs will continue to exist. Stock SIP funds get deducted from your equity allocated funds. You need to allocate the funds in equity segment from your newly linked bank account.

    What will happen to my existing Mutual funds SIPs set on my previously linked bank account?

    The bank account changes done in trading/demat account does not get updated in your existing mutual fund folios (if any). Please submit the change by filling ‘MF details form ‘to Mutual fund operations team for updating the bank details in the existing Mutual Fund folios.
