Supreme Petrochem Ltd. (SPL) is India’s largest producer and exporter of polystyrene polymer. It was incorporated in 1995 with its headquarters in Mumbai. The company exports its products to more than 100 countries around the globe. During FY 2021-2022, the total revenue generated by the company was Rs 5,062.80 crore, up 57.89% from the previous financial year. On 8 August 2022, its market capitalisation stood at Rs 7,733 crore.

Supreme Petrochem Ltd. owns and operates modern production facilities in two locations in India—Amdoshi, Wangani village near Nagothane in Raigad district and New Manali Town near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The company’s product portfolio includes general-purpose polystyrene, high-impact polystyrene, styrene methyl methacrylate, expandable polystyrene, XPS INSUboard, masterbatches and compounds. 

On 30 June 2022, the company’s shareholding pattern showcased a promoter stake of 64.14%, foreign institutional investor stake of 2.13%, domestic institutional investor stake of 2.18%, and public stake of 31.56%. In this quarter, promoters increased their holdings from 64.07% to 64.14%, while mutual fund holdings increased from 2.12% to 2.16%. Rajan Raheja Investment Pvt. Ltd. and The Supreme Industries Ltd. are the leading promoters with a 30.78% share each.  

Mr M P Taparia is the company’s chairman. The other members in the top management comprise Mr Rajeev M Pandia, Mr Rajan B Raheja, Ms Ameeta Parpia, Mr M S Ramachandran, Mr B L Taparia, Dr S Sivaram, Mr K V Mujumdar, Mr R Kannan, and Mr S J Taparia.
