Indus Towers Ltd. was formed by the merger of Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel Ltd. It is one of the world’s largest telecom tower companies. The company was incorporated in 2006, and its headquarters are in Gurgaon. For the quarter ended June 2022, Indus Towers Ltd.’s total income was Rs 6,989.80 crore, down 3.26% from its total income of Rs 7,225.30 crore in the quarter ended March 2022. On 19 August 2022, the company’s market capitalisation stood at Rs 53,009 crore.
The company’s Bombay Stock Exchange listing code is 534816, and the National Stock Exchange listing code is INDUSTOWER. It is also listed on the MCX Stock Exchange.
Indus Towers Ltd. provides towers and related infrastructure. It installs, owns, and controls telecom towers and communication structures for many mobile operators. It had more than 186,474 towers, 336,382 co-locations, and a nationwide presence covering 22 telecom services (as on 30 June 2022). The company’s leading customers are Bharti Airtel Ltd., Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., and Vodafone Idea Ltd.
The company’s shareholding pattern on 30 June 2022 indicated a 68.81% promoter stake, 26.62% foreign institutional investor stake, 2.96% domestic institutional investor stake, and 1.58% public stake. The promoter’s pledge was 30.58%. Bharti Airtel Ltd. is the leading promoter with a 24.94% share, followed by Nettle Infrastructure Investment Ltd. with a 22.83% share.
Indus Towers Ltd.’s managing director and CEO is Mr Bimal Dayal. Mr N Kumar is the chairman of the company. The other board members include Mr Thomas Reisten, Mr Randeep Singh Sekhon, Mr Harjeet Singh Kohli, Mr Sharad Bhansali, Mr Sonu Bhasin, Mr Gopal Vittal, and Ms Anita Kapur. The company’s auditors are Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP. As on 30 June 2022, the company had a total of 269.49 crore shares outstanding.
