The company is also involved in supplying concrete railway sleepers to the Indian Railways. The company has a team of 1,478 employees on a permanent basis. The company has a total of nineteen factories at the year-end. The promoters of the company own 69.92% of the stake, Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) own 0.32%, Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) own 2.08% stake in the company, and others (such as public & retail investors) hold the balance of 27.69%.

    In June 2021, quarterly net revenue was Rs. 291.14 crores, which has increased by approximately 33.72 % from Rs. 217.13 crores for the April-June 2020 quarter. The quarterly net profit in June 2021 was Rs. 4.66 crores, which has improved sharply and increased by nearly 184.12% from a net loss of Rs. 5.54 crores in June 2020. In June 2021, the reported operating profit was at Rs. 275.76 crores, which is also increased by 33.38% as compared to an operating profit of Rs. 206.74 crores for the quarter ending in June 2020. From a negative EPS of Rs. 1.14 in June 2020, the EPS of Indian Hume Pipe Ltd has risen to an EPS of Rs. 0.96 per share in June 2021.
