Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Hind rectifiers is a leading manufacturer in the field of power semiconductors, railway transportation equipment, and power electronic equipment. The company is classified as a small-cap company due to its market capitalization of Rs. 304 crores. The company was established in 1958 in collaboration with the United Kingdom based company Westinghouse, BRAKE & SIGNAL. The profit and loss statement of the company as of 31st December 2021 shows that the company minted a net profit of Rs 1.32 crores. The shares of the Hind Rectifiers are traded under the script name of HIRECT on both the stock exchanges of India. 

The company's equipment segment offers a one-stop solution for power equipment manufacturing and design in the telecommunications, aviation, and power sectors. The company's semiconductor segment includes thyristors, power diodes, power modules, and a few more. Highlighting its traction segment, the company manufactures converters, transformers, inverters, and rectifiers. 

The Price-to-Equity (PE) ratio of the company is 57.03. On the other hand, the industry PE is 41.67. The company's Price to Book (PB) value is 3.05. The Return on Equity for the company is 5.46%. On an average basis, Hind Rectifiers' revenue numbers grew at an annual rate of 26.43%. The percentage is notably higher than the industry average of 6.56%. However, there are significant changes in the profit number over the first three quarters of the financial year 2021-22. The profits for the last three quarters were Rs. 1.55 crores, Rs. 3.38 crores, and Rs. 1.32 crores, respectively. Earnings per share for the same term were Rs. 0.93, Rs. 2.04, and Rs. 0.79, respectively.

On 31st March 2022, Hind Rectifiers' share price closed on NSE at Rs. 184.90. The HIRECT share price saw a slight variation on the price chart in the last 52 weeks. The 52- week high and low of the HIRECT share price were reported at Rs 288 and Rs 116.95, respectively.  Hind Rectifiers' share price is confronting a tough challenge from its rivals such as Havells India Ltd, Polycab India Ltd, Graphite India Ltd, Olectra Greentech Ltd, and V Guard Industries Ltd.
