Its additives are used in foods, cosmetics, plastics, coatings, lubes, textile auxiliaries, and several other speciality applications. The company was incorporated in 1970, with its headquarters in Mumbai. The company’s standalone net sales for the June 2022 quarter were Rs 752.58 crore, up 109.11% from Rs 359.90 crore in the June 2021 quarter. Fine Organic Industries Ltd. produces additives for coatings that act as emulsifiers, anti-settling agents, wetting and dispersing agents, biocides and anti-mar waxes, thickening/anti-sagging agents, and defoamers used in coating applications. The food additives are used in bakery and confectionary, dairy and frozen food products, beverages, and other processed foods. In the segment of plastic additives, the products are antioxidants, plasticisers, lubricants, mould release agents, multifunctional processing aids, antistatic and antifogging additives, fillers, ultraviolet stabilisers, and slip and anti-blocks.
On 30 September 2022, the company’s shareholding pattern showed 75% promoter holdings, 6.74% foreign institutional investor (FII) holdings, 10.92% domestic institutional investor holdings, and 7.33% public holdings. Ms Jyotsna Ramesh Shah is the leading promoter, with a 14.11% share. In the September 2022 quarter, FII holdings decreased from 7.20% to 6.74% and mutual funds holdings increased from 10.11% to 10.43%.
