In this quarter, our strong results of 10% top line growth and 20% profit growth have come on the back of continued commitment to strategic priorities. We have relaunched Colgate Active Salt with a more potent and efficacious formula and made our global no. 1 toothpaste Colgate Total available in an accessible 80g pack. This builds on the launch of Colgate Total Sensitive in the prior quarter and more variants from the global portfolio will follow in subsequent quarters. We also launched exotic, new variants in the Palmolive body wash portfolio with unique fragrances. From a geography lens, our rural business has grown faster than urban and we continue to see strong performance in Modern Trade and ECommerce platforms. Margin delivery has been driven by continued great execution on our world class Funding The Growth program and gains are consistently being reinvested to grow the business.

In the coming year, we are optimistic seeing the market recovery, the continued strengthening of our very strong brand and a robust innovation pipeline, starting with a first of its kind Tooth Whitening Booster under the Visible White Range.

The product range under the Colgate brand name includes toothpaste, toothpowder, toothbrushes, and mouthwashes. It also provides specialized dental therapies under the banner name of Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals. The company, on the other hand, also sells personal care goods under the Palmolive brand. Colgate-Palmolive Company U.S.A. is the ultimate holding company of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. Since 1976, Colgate has worked with the Indian Dental Association (IDA) to promote the importance of Oral Health among children under its ‘Bright Smiles, Bright Future’ program. Colgate has launched several community reach programs over the years like Oral Health Month, A Positive Step Program (focusing on promoting education among HIV-infected children), etc. The promoters of the company own 51% of the stake, Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) own 18.11%, Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) own 8.48% stake in the company, and others (such as public & retail investors) hold the balance of 21.91%.

    In June 2021, quarterly net revenue was Rs. 1,165.97 crores, which has increased by approximately 12.05 % from Rs. 1,040.62 crores for the April-June 2020 quarter. The quarterly net profit in June 2021 was Rs. 233.23 crores, which has improved and increased by nearly 17.69% from a net profit of Rs. 198.18 crores in June 2020. In June 2021, the reported operating profit was at Rs. 815.15 crores, which is also increased by 7.64% as compared to an operating profit of Rs. 757.3 crores for the quarter ending in June 2020.
