  • Apollo Tyres Ltd is in the tyres sector is having a market capitalization worth Rs. 13,435.56 crores, it was incorporated in the year 1972. It has reported consolidated sales of Rs. 4,927.28 crores in March’2021. The company is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) with the code 500877, and also listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) with the code APOLLOTYRE.

    Apollo Tyres is an Indian international tire manufacturing company, having its headquarters in Gurgaon, Haryana. Five manufacturing facilities are located in India, one in the Netherlands, and one in Hungary. Apollo Tyres has around 6200 dealer outlets in India and 5400 outlets across Europe. Apollo Tyres entered into an exclusive agreement with Tata Motors to become the supplier of Ultra Electric Buses. Apollo tires manufacture tires for a wide variety of vehicles like two-wheelers, farm vehicles such as tractors, passenger cars, trucks, etc. Apollo Tyres has established its global presence by expanding its operations across nearly 100 countries. The promoters of the company own 37.6% of the stake in the company, Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) own 22.87%, Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) own 17.23% stake in the company, and others (such as public & retail investors) hold the balance of 22.3%.

    In June 2021, quarterly net revenue was Rs. 3,219.95 crores, which has increased sharply by approximately 81.59 % from Rs. 1,723.23 crores for the April-June 2020 quarter. The quarterly net profit in June 2021 was Rs. 67.92 crores, which has improved sharply and increased by nearly 226.60% from a net loss of Rs. 53.65 crores in June 2020. In June 2021, the reported operating profit was at Rs. 2,752.11 crores, which is also increased sharply by 84.51% as compared to an operating profit of Rs. 1,491.60 crores for the quarter ending in June 2020. From a negative EPS of Rs. 0.90 in June 2020, the EPS of Apollo Tyres Ltd has improved positively and reached Rs. 1.07 per share in June 2021. APOLLOTYRE's stock closed at Rs. 211.55 on 20th August’2021 (NSE) and has given a negative return of 10.38% in the last six months and 64.69% in the previous year.
