Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index rises 1.99%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed up 1.99% at 2932.3 today. The index is up 19.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Central Bank of India gained 4.11%, Indian Bank rose 3.73% and Bank of Baroda jumped 3.36%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is up 38.00% over last one year compared to the 21.28% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index added 1.63% and Nifty IT index has slid 1.63% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.83% to close at 17807.65 while the SENSEX is down 0.94% to close at 59610.41 today.
