News: Dr Reddy’s has launched Pemetrexed for Injection, 100 mg and 500 mg, the generic equivalent of ALIMTA in US. The drug had US sales of US$1239 million (MAT March 2022, IQVIA Health)
Views: Pemetrexed is an onco-injectable with big market size and the launch offers a window to ramp up revenues from US, depending on market share gains amid increasing competition and offset price erosion in US generics. Dr Reddy’s ability to offset price erosion with frequent new launches in US bodes well and we expect US sales to grow at ~ 10% CAGR over FY22-24E to Rs 9024 crore.
