Bajaj Electricals receives order worth Rs332.65 crore from PGCIL

Bajaj Electricals engineering procurement & construction (EPC) segment has been awarded a contract worth Rs 332.65 crore by Power Grid Corporation of India under the Transmission line Tower Package TW04. This package is associated with transmission network expansion in Gujarat. The project will be completed within 15 months from the date of issue of notice of assessment/ letter of offer and acceptance.

As of Q1FY23, the company had an order book of Rs 714 crore for power transmission and Rs 11 crore for power distribution. This order will further expand the order book of the company. Over the last three years, Bajaj Electricals has limited its exposure into EPC segment (as segment contribution to overall declined from 58% in FY19 to 22% in FY22) and is focusing towards executing high margin business. This will help drive the EPC segment revenue of the company, going forward.
