The scheme is an open-ended thematic scheme and endeavors to provide long-term capital appreciation through investment primarily in companies which are embracing innovation theme and employ innovation in products, distinguished processes, and/or business models. The fund will primarily invest in businesses that aim to have a relatively higher market share in a new industry with significant growth potential and have a focus on higher research and development. The fund will be actively managed and will have the flexibility to invest across market caps and sectors with a focus on high-quality companies that are early trend adopters. The fund manager will predominantly follow a bottom-up approach to seek but not be limited to companies that exhibit strong innovative characteristics. The innovation framework that the scheme uses focuses on three key aspects i.e., Leading Innovators, Rising Innovators, and Emerging Innovators (LRE).
