Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index registers a drop of 1.59%

Nifty Realty index closed down 1.59% at 498.25 today. The index has added 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Brigade Enterprises Ltd fell 2.61%, Macrotech Developers Ltd shed 2.28% and DLF Ltd slipped 2.21%. The Nifty Realty index has increased 23.00% over last one year compared to the 13.93% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index has slid 1.52% and Nifty IT index has dropped 1.12% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.49% to close at 18634.55 while the SENSEX has declined 0.47% to close at 62848.64 today.
