Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 2.52%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 2.52% at 5691.4 today. The index has gained 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of Baroda shed 4.77%, Central Bank of India slipped 2.89% and Punjab & Sind Bank dropped 2.60%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has soared 33.00% over last one year compared to the 20.46% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index has dropped 1.72% and Nifty Metal index is down 1.59% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.91% to close at 21513 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.93% to close at 71355.22 today.
