Quick Wrap: Nifty PSE Index rises 1.96%

Nifty PSE index closed up 1.96% at 7760.9 today. The index is up 19.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd gained 4.33%, Bharat Electronics Ltd added 4.09% and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd rose 4.02%. The Nifty PSE index is up 81.00% over last one year compared to the 19.02% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Energy index added 1.33% and Nifty Commodities index gained 1.28% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.43% to close at 21441.35 while the SENSEX added 0.32% to close at 71336.8 today.
