Quick Wrap: Nifty PSE Index records a surge of 2.35%

Nifty PSE index ended up 2.35% at 7900.4 today. The index has added 19.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd jumped 9.38%, Steel Authority of India Ltd gained 6.41% and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd rose 5.85%. The Nifty PSE index has increased 82.00% over last one year compared to the 20.17% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Energy index increased 1.53% and Nifty FMCG index increased 1.35% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.57% to close at 21778.7 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.52% to close at 72410.38 today.
