QUICK WRAP: NIFTY PHARMA INDEX RECORDS A SURGE OF 2.68%

Nifty Pharma index ended up 2.68% at 17938.65 today. The index has added 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd jumped 4.80%, Gland Pharma Ltd gained 3.61% and Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd added 3.40%. The Nifty Pharma index has increased 45.00% over last one year compared to the 23.01% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index increased 2.28% and Nifty PSU Bank index added 2.27% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.95% to close at 21725.7 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.86% to close at 71752.11 today.
