Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index records a surge of 2.57%

Nifty Media index ended up 2.57% at 2355.65 today. The index has added 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, TV18 Broadcast Ltd jumped 11.37%, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd gained 5.31% and D B Corp Ltd slipped 2.51%. The Nifty Media index has increased 9.00% over last one year compared to the 7.74% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index increased 1.96% and Nifty PSU Bank index increased 1.86% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.67% to close at 20267.9 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.74% to close at 67481.19 today.
