Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index declines 1.90%

Nifty Media index ended down 1.90% at 2399.55 today. The index is down 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd slipped 7.89%, D B Corp Ltd rose 3.68% and Sun TV Network Ltd fell 3.08%. The Nifty Media index is up 22.00% over last one year compared to the 23.06% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index added 1.86% and Nifty PSE index gained 1.78% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.93% to close at 22097.45 while the SENSEX added 1.05% to close at 73327.94 today.
