Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index rises 5.14%, NIFTY jumps 1.14%

Nifty IT index closed up 5.14% at 36521.7 today. The index is up 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Infosys Ltd gained 7.93%, Coforge Ltd added 5.68% and Tech Mahindra Ltd jumped 4.69%. The Nifty IT index is up 27.00% over last one year compared to the 22.60% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index added 2.75% and Nifty Realty index gained 1.80% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 1.14% to close at 21894.55 while the SENSEX added 1.18% to close at 72568.45 today.
