TATA METALIKS REPORTS MUTED OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE FOR Q4FY22
News: For Q4FY22, Tata Metaliks topline stood at Rs 808 crore, up 22% YoY and 17% QoQ. EBITDA margin for Q4FY22 stood at 7.0% down 1470 bps YoY and 280 bps QoQ. EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 57 crore, down 60% YoY and 16% QoQ. During the quarter, Tata Metaliks reported exceptional income of ~Rs 31 crore on account of profit on sale of land of discontinued operations in Maharashtra. Ensuing reported PAT for the quarter stood at Rs 52 crore, down 30% YoY however up 46% QoQ. Sequential growth in PAT was primarily aided by the exceptional income reported during the quarter.
Views: Tata Metaliks reported muted operational performance for Q4FY22 on the back of higher input costs. During Q4FY22, raw material costs per tonne stood at Rs 36148/tonne , up 65% YoY and 13% QoQ, primarily on the back of rising input cost (especially coking coal). During Q4FY22, raw material cost as a percentage of sales stood at 69% as compared to 51% in Q4FY21 and 66% in Q3FY22.
