IndusInd Bank has approved the re-appointment of Sumant Kathpalia as managing director and chief executive officer for three years with effect from March 24, 2023. The re-appointment is subject to approval from shareholders and RBI.

The bank has marked an improvement in key business metrics under his term. With focus on new growth engines, investment in retail franchise and gradual depletion of liabilities, we believe the bank is poised to pedal growth. RBI may not have any concerns on his re-appointment currently.
