DEFENCE EXPO 2022 SHOWCASES VARIOUS AIR DEFENCE PLATFORMS
HAL - 4670 Change: 9.10 (0.20 %)News: In Defence Expo 2022, various air defence platforms are being showcased, which includes combat aircraft (upgraded Su-30 MKI, Tejas MK1A, Tejas MK2 and AMCA, Boeing F/A-18), utility aircraft (C-295, Dornier), training aircraft (HTT-40), combat helicopters (LCH), utility helicopters (LUH, ALH) and Unmanned aerial vehicles (like Rustom, Tapas BH), Combat UAV- CATS warrior and few more from various private players like Nagastra from Solar Industries & V4 Prime from Ideaforge.
View: We think UAVs are the big opportunity for companies that are in the process of development and manufacturing these platforms as we understand that these are considered to be the critical requirement from armed forces. Tapas BH is the MALE UAV and the advanced version of Rustom, which has been developed by Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) in partnership with Newspace Technologies. Combat Air Teaming System (CATS) Warrior is a combat UAV, which is also under development from HAL. Combat aircraft (Tejas MK2 and AMCA) are also witnessing strong push in terms of prototype development as the raw materials/components procurements have been started from private players & MSMEs. We believe the development and manufacturing of combat aircraft, UAVs is positive for Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL), Solar Industries and electronics systems/components suppliers - Bharat Electronics (BEL) & Data Patterns.
Impact: Positive.
