Construction activities banned in Delhi-NCR as air quality nears 'severe' category
Amid worsening pollution levels in Delhi, the Centre's air quality panel directed authorities in the NCR to implement curbs such as a ban on construction and demolition activities under the GRAP III. The restrictions will not be applicable on essential projects and non-polluting activities such as plumbing, carpentry, interior decoration and electrical works.
As restrictions are not applicable on projects concerning national security, defence, roads, railways and metro rail, companies such as HG Infra, and PNC Infratech are unlikely to witness any major operational impact. However, it is likely to affect execution of projects of companies like NBCC and NCC having housing projects in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and other areas.
