US Dollar Index Speculative Longs Rise To Eight Month High

The large currency market speculators continued to increase their long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 15,634 contracts in the data reported through September 19, 2023. This was a weekly rise of 9563 net contracts and net longs are at its highest levels since end January this year, an eight month high.
