US Dollar Index Speculative Longs Edge Slightly Higher

The large currency market speculators slightly increased their long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 3359 contracts in the data reported through September 05, 2023. This was a weekly rise of 536 net contracts and net longs are coming off a three week low.
