US Dollar Index Speculative Longs At Six-Week High

The large currency market speculators slightly increased their long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 6071 contracts in the data reported through September 12, 2023. This was a weekly rise of 2712 net contracts and net longs are at six week high.
