Speculative Net Longs In Euro Stick Around One-Year Low

Large currency speculators net long positions in the Euro futures markets edged up slightly last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Euro futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net long position of 82,410 contracts in the data reported through October 17, 2023. This was a weekly rise of 3,467 net contracts but the net longs continued to stay around its lowest level in almost a year.
