Rupee Loses In Early Moves, USDINR Futures Linger At 83.40 Mark

The Indian Rupee eased today as US dollar index witnessed some support around its five month low of 101. Near term focus of the domestic currency markets has shifted to the data on government monthly revenue and expenditure and the core sector growth. INR currently quotes down 10 paise at 83.30 per US dollar. The local currency saw choppy trades against the US dollar and ended at 83.19 mark after hitting a high of 83.10 per US dollar in intraday moves. Local equity indices ended higher for the third consecutive session. BSE Sensex closed 230 points or 0.32 percent higher at 71,337, and the Nifty added 92 points or 0.43 percent up at 21,441. On the NSE, the USDINR futures are quoting at 83.40, up 0.16% on the day.
