Marginal drop in US dollar speculative long position

The large currency market speculators marginally cut their long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 4589 contracts in the data reported through August 21, 2023. This was a weekly decline of 402 net contracts.
