The Indian Rupee continued to soften as a two and half month high under 81.70 per US dollar mark yesterday has capped the upmove for the local currency. The INR currently quotes down 10 paise at 81.99 per US dollar. The key equity indices ended a volatile session near the flat line on Tuesday. The Nifty settled flat on the day above the 19,650 mark after hitting day`s low near 19600 in mid-afternoon trade. Stocks are up today but the Rupee has declined ahead of the US FOMC meet and lack of major updates on local economic front. On the NSE, the USDINR futures for July 2023 are quoting at 81.99, up 0.13% on the day and could see a volatile action ahead of its expiry tomorrow.
